Ford appointed the new head of exterior design

Joel Piaskowski, a designer who has worked throughout his career for General Motors , Hyundai and Mercedes is the new manager of external style Ford America. The creative is the "signature" behind some of the latest models in the Korean home, including the Genesis sedan and-especially-the Coupé , the latter model that will debut later this year in Italy.

At the end of 2008 the designer had been hired by Mercedes, who had put in charge of its advanced design studio in California. Piaskowski left the Star in March and will be operational for Ford from next October 1. After launching the Fiesta USA and presenting the outlines of the new Focus , the American house seems to focus more on the style as an element of attraction for its future cars.
