2010 Detroit Auto Show

It's been a tough year for Detroit. Car sales in the tank, bankruptcies left and right and constant meddling from Washington. What could possibly pull the Big Three out of the muck?

The 2010 Detroit Auto Show is a good start. It's widely considered the biggest and most important auto show in the world. The art of the splashy reveal was perfected at the Detroit auto show and few manufacturers, whether foreign or domestic, miss the chance to show something new.

The 2010 North American International Auto Show, as it's officially called, will feature the usual lineup of major introductions along with a strong emphasis on the emerging electric car segment. A new "Electric Avenue" display area will showcase the latest in alternative-power vehicles right alongside the traditional show stands.

2010 Chicago Auto Show

There are signs of hope that the auto industry is starting to recover this year. The Detroit auto show had a solid lineup of introductions and we expect the 2010 Chicago Auto Show will follow suit. With press days kicking off on February 10, this year's Chicago auto show will hopefully keep the momentum going with a host of new concept cars and new production vehicles. We'll be covering all the action from McCormick Place with photos, news, videos and blog posts.

So far we have confirmed reports that an all-new 2011 Infiniti QX56 is headed for Chicago. As Infiniti's biggest SUV, the QX looked like it might get the axe, but apparently the Japanese company has found a way to keep it viable in a market that's suddenly obsessed with all things small. Also on tap is BMW's latest Alpina B7, a twin-turbo 7 Series with 500 horsepower. Nice.

2010 Geneva Auto Show

Splashy debuts of important production cars and evocative new concept vehicles are never in short supply at the Geneva auto show. As the first major European auto show of the year, it's the ideal venue to show off the latest new vehicles from Germany, France, Italy and sometimes even Britain.

There's also a healthy contingent of independent design houses that make the Geneva show their home away from home for a week each year. This assures a sometimes strange assortment of cars that will likely never be produced, but hey, they're still fun to look at for awhile.

As far as expectations go for the 2010 show, the 80th Geneva International Auto Show will play host to the world

2010 New York Auto Show

Now that the American automotive industry is making a slow recovery from the disastrous year that was 2009, the auto show season is starting to pick up. The 2010 New York Auto Show should be a good indicator of just how well that recovery is progressing, and so far things are looking up.

Several world premieres have already been confirmed and the slew of cars shown at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show will also make their way west for North American premieres. Cars like the 2011 BMW X5, 2011 BMW 335is, Mercedes-Benz E-Class convertible and Nissan Juke are all expected to be shown for the first time on American soil.

Infiniti is also planning to introduce its all-new QX56 SUV. First shown in

2010 Beijing Auto Show

The ups and downs of the auto industry may have stalled the rapid rise of the Chinese auto market, but that hasn't kept the 2010 Beijing Auto Show from securing some top-notch debuts this year. Its status as one of the larger international shows has made the Beijing show an important stop for any manufacturer looking to make inroads to the significant Chinese market.

This year, some of the biggest debuts will come from luxury automakers. We expect to see two new long-wheelbase sedans from both Audi and BMW along with an all-new high-powered Ferrari 599 GTO and a V6-powered
