Mazda 6: 2 million copies sold

Mazda has announced that sales of the Mazda 6 totaled 2 million copies. This is an important result achieved in eight years and a half after the entry into production. Before the Mazda 6, just another model of production recently reached this result, namely the compact Mazda 3 . However, the Mazda 6 - marketed under the name Atenza in Japan - in his career he has achieved other important goals, having been the first car of Mazda's new styling, called "Zoom Zoom".

Furthermore, the Mazda 6 was also the model that allowed the House to become a Japanese car manufacturer in the collective, because until then Mazda was synonymous with battery maker. The first generation of the Mazda 6 came into production in February 2002 and a month later was made its European premiere at the Geneva Motor Show. The second generation, however, came into production in August 2007 and the European debut dates back to Frankfurt the same year.

Currently, the range of the Mazda 6 is composed of variants 4-door sedan, wagon and hatchback 5-door this year underwent a restyling of mid-career. The Mazda 6 is the successor to the 626, whose first generation came out in 1978, while production has reached 1 million in February 2006. The Mazda 6 is produced in Japan in the second Hofu Mazda plant in the country, but also in the U.S. establishment Auto alliance Michigan and China FAW plant in Changchun.
