Mercedes has released new details and a slew of new photos to the account of its flagship coupe, the CL recently restyled. The model presented in early summer at the Goodwood Festival of Speed , the protagonist is of course also the forthcoming Paris Motor Show , which opens on September 30th.
CL renewed will have a range of engines all characterized by the adoption of turbocharger and direct injection, which in addition to significantly increase the performance of the model (12.5% on average), it drastically cut consumption and emissions (24% on average) .
Much of the credit for these achievements should be attributed to new technology adopted for the injectors and BlueDirect baptized, the name behind which lies a system of direct injection of third-generation spray-guided type, with piezo injectors, multiple injection and ignition multispark. Injection BlueDirect are matched the start & stop series and the new 7G-Tronic Plus, which significantly reduces internal friction due to serious action on the torque converter.
